Activities

Join us on Black Friday for a post-Thanksgiving restoration and planting event. Volunteers will help with planting, weeding and/or mulching or some combination of all three. We will be outside and welcome everyone to come get some fresh air, help with restoration in North Seatac park and get to meet folks from around the community. Kids are welcome to come and help, the more the merrier! Bring the whole family to burn off some of those calories consumed the day before!

What to Bring

No experience is necessary. Bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, pants, a bring a water bottle. Restoration events happen rain or shine; check the weather and make sure to bring a rain jacket if needed. All other tools, training, and gloves will be provided.

Where to Meet

Meet in the planting zone to the south of the parking lot in the northwest corner of the park, off Des Moines Memorial Drive, right next to the playground and shelter. Look for a table with a sign-in sheet and a line of shovels or other tools on the ground.

Where to Park

Parking is available in the northwest corner of the park, off Des Moines Memorial Drive and 128th St.. Additional parking is available at Sunset Park, located at 13800 16th Ave S. Park in the parking lot or along the shoulder of 16th Ave S. and walk north to cross S.136th Street. Look for event signage for assistance.
