Planting season is here again! Help us add new trees and pollinator-friendly flowering plants to our young but beautifully recovering rare madrone forest in North SeaTac Park and learn how to identify them and their uses along the way.

What to Bring

No experience is necessary! Please bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, sturdy, closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, pants, a water bottle, and any questions or suggestions you may have. Restoration events happen rain or shine; check the weather and make sure to bring a rain jacket if needed. All other tools, training, and gloves will be provided.

Where to Meet

We will meet in the planting zone to the south of the parking lot in the northwest corner of the park, off Des Moines Memorial Drive. Look for a table with a sign-in sheet and a line of shovels or other tools on the ground.

Where to Park

Parking is available in the northwest corner of the park, off Des Moines Memorial Drive. Additional parking is available at Sunset Park located at 13800 16th Ave S. Park in the parking lot or along shoulder of 16th Ave S. and walk north to cross S. 136th Street. Look for event signage for assistance.
