Activities

Join SeaTac’s new forest stewards for a restoration event to learn about some of Washington native plants and have the opportunity to plant some yourself in a growing native forest area in the park. After planting, we may do some mulching around our new plantings or weeding of invasive blackberry and common ivy.

Feel free to join us at any time during the event for as long or as little as you are able!

All ages OK

What to Bring

No experience is necessary! Please bring warm clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, sturdy, closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, pants, a water bottle, and a warm heart. All other tools, training, and gloves will be provided.

Where to Meet

We will meet south of the parking lot and picnic shelter in the northwest corner of the park, off Des Moines Memorial Drive. Look for a white truck and table.

Where to Park

Parking is available in the northwest corner of the park, off Des Moines Memorial Drive. Additional parking is available at Sunset Park located at 13800 16th Ave S. Park in the parking lot or along shoulder of 16th Ave S. and walk north to cross S. 136th Street. Look for event signage for assistance.
